But of course, most of us would like to base our decision on enrolling in one of the Boston Schools on more than mere staying power. Recently, two Boston Schools publications earned Awards of Excellence: the first Boston Public Schools Career and College Guide and The Boston Educator. This award exemplifies the commitment that the Boston Schools system upholds to communicating with its students, parents, and teachers.

Also of late, the mayor of Boston, and School Board traveled to New York City to accept the Broad Prize for Urban Education as the most improved urban school district in the country. The Broad Prize included $500,000 in scholarship money for BPS students. This was the Boston Schools fifth year as a finalist. Boston Schools have now earned a total of $1 million in scholarship money.

Obviously, Boston Schools not only have years and years of experience on their side, but also accolades for the work they continue to do in order to maintain their standard of excellence.

After high school, Iverson continued his love of basketball as he entered into his collegiate years. During his freshman year in college, Allen Iverson was named the Big East Rookie of the Year. The following year, during his sophomore season, Iverson was named First Team All-America by the Associated Press. The 1996-1997 season marked Allen Iverson’s rookie year in the NBA. During the 2005-2006 NBA season, Allen Iverson marked his 10th anniversary with a league that made him famous. He is the second player in NBA history to have ever played for only one team for this length of time. The only player to have been on a team longer is Kevin Garnett of Minnesota. rubber or steel tracks, drive sprockets, rollers,

idlers, and associated components and structures.

The undercarriage is also home to the house

structure and the work group.

Work group

The work group consists of the boom, dipper or

arm, and attachment. It is connected to the front

of the house structure via a swinging frame that

allows the work group to be hydraulically pivoted

left or right in order to achieve offset digging

for trenching parallel with the tracks.

Independent boom swing

The purpose of the boom swing is for offset

digging around obstacles or along foundations,

walls, and forms. Another use is for cycling in

areas that are too narrow for cab rotation. Another

major advantage of the compact excavator is the

independent boom swing.

Backfill blade

The backfill blade on compact excavators are used

for grading, leveling, backfilling, trenching,

and general dozer work. The blade can also be

used to increase the dumping height and digging

depth depending on it's position in relation to

the workgroup.

The most common place you'll find compact excavators

is in residential dwellings. When digging phone

lines or other things, these pieces of equipment

are very common for getting between houses. Due

to their small size, they can fit almost anywhere.

Over the years, the capabilities for compact

excavators have expanded far beyond the tasks of

excavation. With hydraulic powered attachments

such as breakers, clamps, compactors and augers,

the compact excavator is used with many other

applications and serves as an effective attachment

tool as well. Serving many purposes, the compact

excavator is a great addition to any job that

requires the use of machinery.
